NEET-PG is the eligibility-cum-ranking examination for admission to various MD/ MS/ PG Diploma courses of the admission session.As per the division in the question paper of NEET PG, the total number of subjects is 14.
To be eligible for NEET PG, a candidate must have obtained MBBS degree from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Such candidates must possess MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate at the time of admissions.
Admission to PG medical course in India, for both MD or MS, is possible if you get through the NEET PG exam, a PG medical entrance exam, by obtaining a minimum 50% mark. It is conducted by the National Board of Examinations every year.
After passing this exam, you have to register for counselling. Counselling will be All India Quota and State quota. You can choose one or both based on your preferences. For AIQ, you have to register on the MCC website and for state quota, you have to register for each state counselling authority website.
To qualify NEET PG exam, medicos must mandatorily secure the minimum qualifying percentile. NEET PG cut-off General category is 50th percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC aspirants, it is 40th percentile.
The NEET PG question paper will be of total 800 marks. For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded while one mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt.
